When you think about death it doesn’t matter to me that I’m going to die, I can take it, if death is best for me then whatever Allah wills, but when I think about the people I love dying or growing old, it hurts really bad. We think to ourselves this life is going to last a long time, but it doesn’t. Decades rush by and you think .. what have I left behind today which will be useful? A pious child? Or some sort of charity like a donation to a mosque or well which people will benefit from and you will get rewarded for them even after death. People who live in poverty sadden me that this is the state some people have reached when clearly we as a whole could prevent it, we have enough money and Allah has given us big hearts so why don’t we do a little thing and make Dua or donate money? It’s this state of this World that saddens me and sometimes I’m grateful that we lack permanency.
