Smile ![]() “I have never seen anyone who would smile more than the messenger of Allah s.a.w” (Harith ibn Jariz r.a, recorded in Tirmidhi and Ahmad) Have you noticed how when a baby smiles at you, you instantly smile back, the warm sincere smile, no matter how down you may be feeling, you cant help but smile back at a sincere smile. The Prophet s.a.w beautifully said “Your smile to your brother is a charitable act” (Part of a hadith in Sahih Muslim) And have you noticed how when that person you may not know him too well, but he gives you a sincere Salaam like he’s known you all your life, u get that warm feeling inside, that makes you feel happy you're Muslim. "When two Muslims meet (give salaam), and shake hands, they are forgiven their sins before they part (with each other)." (Abu Dawud) The Prophet (PBUH) was cheerful, greeting his Sahabah with warmth and smiles whenever he saw them, as the great Sahabi Jarir ibn `Abdullah described: "From the time I embraced Islam, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) never refused to see me and he never saw me except with a smile on his face." Just imagine you’re having the worse day, there was no hot water in the bath, the bus was late the train was late, u've missed your lecture, the boss is going to be angry....and when you get into uni/work and you meet a brother/sister who warmly greets you and smiles at you….wouldnt you feel better and go from to ![]() How easy it is to make someone happy, and how noble a deed it is. So the next time you meet someone, fulfill the Sunnah and give them a sincere smile and Salaam.
