...to the Ummah Forum Graphic’s Contest #2 Display your graphical and creative skills to the whole of ummah.com!

The Theme:

“Don’t judge a book by its cover!” – Exact what it says on the Tin! The competition is all about creating a book cover (front side).
But the twist, it must be a new cover for a fictional book (not already in existence) or you can choose to modify and change or add to the sequel of a book you’ve read. YOU MUST also include a short blurb about your book, the blurb most be around 50 words or less.

The book cover must be designed on an A6
canvas.

- 2 options -
EITHER Manipulate, change, and add to an existing book’s sequel already out.

OR Create your very own front cover, of a title of your choice.

-Must-
Include a short blurb approx 50 words.

Dimensions: A6 paper size, or 1240 X 1748 pixels.

Limits: No Limits! Use pictures, text etc.

Picture Formats: .JPEG, .GIF or .PNG

Text: DO NOT include your name on the piece. YOU MUST add a blurb around 50 WORDS! Blurb can be on a separate document, can also be on the cover.

How to submit your entries?

Once you’ve finished your book cover please submit them too me at:

the deadline for all submissions is: 3rd March 2009
If your cover and blurb fulfils the requirement, it will be held for the poll which will be set up for 5rd March 2009. Everyone will be invited to vote for their favourite cover.
Because the usernames may influence the votes, the authors’/contestants names will not be revealed until we know the contest winner.

Please have fun in this competition and enjoy yourself. ADVANCE WARNING: Please do not make fun or make in-appropriate remarks about any entry during the voting period.
Only one entry per person, no purchase necessary.
All titles, book cover names etc must be appropriate. Please do not refer to any scholars or any respected person in your entry of that manner.
